Workers Uniting Congress – London November 11th – 12th

The global union created by Unite and the United Steelworkers held its first Congress in London this weekend. Delegates from the USA, Canada, UK and Republic of Ireland along with guests from Bangladesh, Columbia, Mexico, the International MetalWorkers Federation and the International Chemical Workers Federation discussed improving international solidarity, political action, co-ordinated collective bargaining, education, e-comms, organising and most of all fighting back for working people – against the 1% who control the worlds wealth and who are imposing austerity on millions of people due to the actions of the billionaires, banks and speculators. Here are some of the video’s which introduced each of the debates.

Impressed? I was – all created in house by the USW New Media Department.
